During the downpour of rain that we received here in Sicily over this past week, we didn't catch many glimpes of Mt. Etna. She was usually surrounded by angry storm clouds, but this morning, as I looked out of our 3rd floor window, I could actually see the top, and what a sight! There is a thick blanket of snow now further down the slopes than I have ever seen! I guess all that nasty rain left behind a nice little surprise for us after all.
